About this tool

Show category shares of a single nonnegative total as pie slices. Use Category,Value; negative values are rejected and at least one value must be positive. Check slice percentages and labels; many small categories can be difficult to compare. Data and charts are processed in your browser and can be exported as PNG, SVG or CSV. Examples are illustrative.

How to use

  1. Use Category,Value; negative values are rejected and at least one value must be positive.
  2. Set the title, palette, background and value labels, then generate the chart.
  3. Check slice percentages and labels; many small categories can be difficult to compare. Compare the data table before downloading the image or CSV.

Frequently asked questions

Must I calculate percentages first?

No. Percentages are calculated from the sum of the input values; enter category amounts directly.

Which inputs are rejected?

Headers must be nonempty and unique, and numeric cells cannot be empty. Up to 1000 rows and 12 numeric series are supported; single-series and specialized charts have further column rules. Administrators may lower the row limit.

Does editing automatically update the chart?

Generate again after edits. Old results are cleared to avoid exporting a chart for stale input. Value labels are hidden above 40 rows; full data remains in the table and CSV.
