Frequently asked questions
Are images uploaded?
No. A fixed ImageMagick WebAssembly version runs in a browser Worker. The first engine load needs a network; then this page works offline until refresh. Offline processing creates no server run statistics. Admin settings refresh when you reopen the page.
Is compression lossless?
PNG/GIF/BMP reduce palette colors; JPG/WebP use lossy encoding; 8-bit TIFF uses lossless Deflate. Dimensions, GIF/WebP frames and timing, and TIFF pages are retained. High-bit-depth and animated PNG files keep original bytes. The default keeps the original if re-encoding is larger.
What are the resource limits?
No account file-count quota; files run sequentially. Per image: 256 MiB input, 32 million total pixels, 2048 frames/pages, 32768px per side, and 512 MiB Worker memory. Devices may exhaust memory earlier. ZIP: 256 MiB. Each image has a 120-second or lower admin deadline; cancellation and timeout terminate its Worker.
