About this tool

Add corners, margin and shadow to a static JPG, PNG or WebP. Drag the handle or enter offsets, choose a background, compare the original and inspect actual output dimensions. Undo, redo and reset defaults. Originals stay in this editor; generating uploads a flattened PNG for metadata removal and PNG, JPG or WebP encoding.

How to use

  1. Add an image and choose a corner radius, margin, and transparent or solid canvas.
  2. Drag the shadow handle, adjust color, opacity, blur and offsets, and zoom to inspect.
  3. Choose a format and generate. Download and optionally delete temporary files, which expire within 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions

Will the original shrink or the shadow be clipped?

Source pixels keep their size. The canvas expands for margins and the complete shadow; actual dimensions appear below the preview. If expansion exceeds the pixel cap, reduce the settings or resize the source first. No hidden scaling or clipping occurs.

How are corners and shadows calculated?

The radius uses source pixels, capped at half the shorter side. A 4 by 4 coverage mask creates smooth transparent corners. Shadow comes from the rounded image alpha and three separable box passes with finite support. A larger blur range softens the shadow.

Why does JPG look different from transparent formats?

PNG and WebP preserve alpha. Checkerboards and handles are excluded. JPG uses the chosen matte color. Solid canvas mode fills the background first. Lossy JPG and WebP encoding can change colors; inspect the download.

How do I drag and restore edits?

Drag the blue handle to change shadow offsets, then release to update the full effect. Arrow keys move one pixel, or ten with Shift. Undo and redo retain up to 50 steps; reset keeps the current image. Reloading or leaving loses history.

What are the limits, and is the original uploaded?

One static image. Both the original and flattened PNG upload must fit the 80MB cap. Source and expanded output are capped at 20 megapixels and 16384 pixels per side; administrators may lower limits. Original pixels and history stay in page memory. Only the composite PNG and format, quality and JPG matte are uploaded.
