About this tool

Read QR codes from images or your camera in the browser. Drag the region and corners or edit coordinates, zoom and rotate images, then scan the region or whole image. Multiple codes retain their actual positions, original text and raw bytes.

How to use

  1. Choose or drop a PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or BMP image. Drag the region or corners, zoom, rotate or edit coordinates.
  2. Scan the region or whole image. In camera mode, open the camera, allow video permission, adjust the region and start scanning.
  3. Select a numbered marker or result to inspect text or hex bytes. Copy one or all results; valid web links open only when clicked.

Frequently asked questions

Are images, video or QR contents uploaded?

No. Images, video frames, file names and decoded contents stay in this page’s memory. Only run status, duration, counts and copy actions reach the server. Clearing or leaving releases contents.

Are multiple codes, animation and rotation supported?

Multiple codes are supported, including identical contents at different positions. Image orientation is preserved, with quarter-turn rotation and inverted-code reading. Animated images use the first frame. File, pixel and result limits apply.

Why was no QR code found?

Include the entire code and its margins, expand the region, improve lighting, reduce glare or choose a clearer original. Small-image upscale retry cannot always recover blur, obstruction or damaged contents.

When does the camera close?

The camera stops when scanning finishes, on close, cancellation, mode changes, page hiding or leaving. Pausing retains the preview so the region can be adjusted; close it when finished. Late permission grants are stopped after a timeout.

Do scanned links open automatically?

No links are opened or prefetched automatically. Only explicit, complete HTTP/HTTPS URLs get an open button, requiring a click. Other text, scripts, data or local URLs can only be viewed and copied.

Does adjusting the region count as usage?

Choosing an image, previewing, rotating and adjusting the region do not count. A started image or camera detection session counts as one item, including a completed scan with no results. Frames do not count separately.
