Screen Recorder

Choose settings, then select a screen, window or tab in the browser sharing dialog. You can overlay your camera; media is not uploaded.

Resolution/frame rate are requests, constrained by the source and browser; actual settings are reported. Camera video is composited locally. Shared audio requires browser support and the audio-sharing checkbox; mixed sources each use 50% gain.

Screen recording is unavailable. Use HTTPS in a desktop browser supporting screen sharing and MediaRecorder; mobile support varies.

Switching tabs can continue recording. Closing or leaving stops screen sharing and camera capture and clears data; download first. Starting again removes the previous file. Sessions are limited to 30 minutes including pauses (or a lower configured limit) and 256 MiB. Backgrounding may delay encoding and timers; locking or sleep may interrupt recording.

Preparation: 10s; share selection: 60s; camera/microphone access: 20s; composition startup: 8s; audio mixing: 5s; finalization: 8s. Late cancelled grants are closed. Files use native browser encoding without transcoding or disguised extensions.

Processed content stays in this page’s memory and cannot be recovered after clearing or closing.

About this tool

Record a screen, window or tab you explicitly select, with an optional camera overlay offering four positions, five sizes and mirroring. Six resolutions, four formats, four frame rates, and silent/shared/microphone/mixed audio. Pause, resume, stop, preview and download locally; unsupported formats are disabled and media is not uploaded. Shared contents and device information are not uploaded; metrics cover preparation/download actions only.

How to use

  1. Choose screen-only or screen plus camera. Camera mode provides device, position, size and mirror controls. Then set resolution, format, frame rate and audio.
  2. Start, allow camera access when used, and explicitly select a source in the browser picker; enable audio sharing when requested.
  3. Pause/resume, then stop to preview/download native MP4/WebM. Clear, a new recording or leaving removes page results.

Frequently asked questions

Are 4K and system audio guaranteed?

No. Actual settings depend on the source/browser; shared audio also depends on OS support and missing audio is reported. Sessions are limited to 30 minutes including pauses (or lower configured limits) and 256 MiB, stopping near the limit. Backgrounding/sleep may delay or interrupt capture. Pausing encoding leaves sharing active; stop to release sources.
