About this tool

Choose quality-first, balanced or smaller-file compression. Each video is re-encoded with its source resolution, frame rate and container. Keep or remove the first audio track, choose its bitrate, and review the actual before/after size.

How to use

  1. Add up to five common video files.
  2. Choose compression level, whether to keep audio, and audio bitrate.
  3. Compress, review actual size, resolution and audio, then download.

Frequently asked questions

Does compression change resolution or frame rate?

The tool does not intentionally resize or change frame rate, and verifies actual dimensions, duration and audio. Unusual dimensions unsupported by an encoder fail explicitly rather than being changed silently.

Why might the result not be smaller?

Savings depend on the source codec, bitrate, content and selected level. Re-encoding an already compressed video can produce a similar size; the result page shows the actual change.

Does it convert to another format?

No. MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM, AVI, MPG, WMV, FLV and 3GP keep their source container. M4V outputs MP4, MPEG outputs MPG and 3G2 outputs 3GP.
