About this tool
Accumulate signed changes from zero to show how a running balance rises or falls. Use Change,Amount, for example Opening,100; Revenue,70; Costs,-40. Keep rows in event order. The example accumulates to 100,170,130; every row is treated as a change. Data and charts are processed in your browser and can be exported as PNG, SVG or CSV. Examples are illustrative.
How to use
- Use Change,Amount, for example Opening,100; Revenue,70; Costs,-40.
- Set the title, palette, background and value labels, then generate the chart.
- Keep rows in event order. The example accumulates to 100,170,130; every row is treated as a change. Compare the data table before downloading the image or CSV.
Frequently asked questions
Can I append a closing-total row directly?
Rows are not special subtotal bars. Every amount is added to the balance, so appending a total double counts it. Verify the running balance against the exported data.
Which inputs are rejected?
Headers must be nonempty and unique, and numeric cells cannot be empty. Up to 1000 rows and 12 numeric series are supported; single-series and specialized charts have further column rules. Administrators may lower the row limit.
Does editing automatically update the chart?
Generate again after edits. Old results are cleared to avoid exporting a chart for stale input. Value labels are hidden above 40 rows; full data remains in the table and CSV.
