Shortcuts: A start/pause/resume, S lap, C reset; ignored in editable fields. Split is the interval since the previous lap, excluding paused time.
Returning from a background tab refreshes elapsed time. On some devices the monotonic clock stops during sleep, so sleep time may be excluded. Reset, reload or leaving clears records; download first.
Only initial start or setting an alarm counts as preparation. Pausing, resuming, laps and clock ticks do not add runs. Records remain only in this page.
Processed content stays in this page’s memory and cannot be recovered after clearing or closing.

Frequently asked questions
Will timing or ringing continue after the page closes?
No. Data belongs to this page and reload/close clears it. Stopwatch uses a monotonic clock which may exclude sleep on some systems. Alarm uses the device clock and checks overdue status on return. There is no OS-level background alarm service.
