Not capturing
Requires HTTPS or localhost and MediaDevices support; device permissions are never requested automatically.
Receiving video does not certify quality. Dimensions come from the video; frameRate is the reported setting. Sharpness, dead pixels and actual frame rate are not automatically certified.
Preparation is limited to 10 seconds; device access waits up to 20 seconds, audio startup 5 seconds, video playback startup 8 seconds. Stop, hide or leave to release devices. The browser prompt may remain, but late grants are immediately closed. Device names, media and measurements are not uploaded or persisted.
Processed content stays in this page’s memory and cannot be recovered after clearing or closing.

How to use
- Select a default/available input and start; only then is device permission requested.
- Allow access to view a live waveform/video and reported settings. Missing data does not prove a defect.
- Stop, hide or leave to end capture; restarting requires another click. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Does successful access certify hardware?
No. It observes browser media, not hardware quality. Microphone levels are digital dBFS, not calibrated sound pressure. Camera requests video only. Access waits 20 seconds, audio startup 5 seconds, video startup 8 seconds; late cancelled streams are closed.
