About this tool
Read CSV or TXT using the selected UTF-8 or GB18030 encoding and comma, semicolon or tab delimiter, then export an array of JSON objects. By default the first row supplies column names; without a header, keys are named column_1, column_2 and so on. Every cell remains a string, so leading zeros stay intact. The server accepts up to 10,000 data rows, 100 columns and one file up to 5 MiB.
How to use
- Paste CSV or choose one CSV/TXT file; select its actual text encoding.
- Set the delimiter and whether the first row is a header, then choose two- or four-space JSON indentation.
- Convert, verify column names and values, and download converted.json.
Frequently asked questions
Are numbers converted to JSON numbers?
No. Every CSV cell is kept as a string so codes such as 001 retain their leading zeros.
What happens if a row has a different number of columns?
The conversion stops and reports the affected row instead of shifting values between columns.
