About this tool

Validate a JSON or TXT file, or paste JSON text, then export a formatted or minified JSON file. The server rejects invalid syntax, duplicate object keys and nesting deeper than 100 levels. Decimal numbers are parsed without floating-point rounding. One input file up to 2 MiB is supported.

How to use

  1. Paste JSON or choose one JSON/TXT file.
  2. Choose compact output or two- or four-space indentation, then run validation.
  3. Review any reported line and column, preview the result and download formatted.json.

Frequently asked questions

Will large integers be rounded?

No. Parsing uses decimal values rather than first converting JSON numbers to binary floating point.

Does formatting repair invalid JSON?

No. Invalid syntax, duplicate object keys and excessive nesting are reported instead of silently changed.
