Frequently asked questions
Which emoji are included?
The bilingual Emojibase 17.0.0 dataset covers faces, people, components, animals, food, places, activities, objects, symbols, flags and supported skin-tone variants. Glyphs depend on system fonts.
Are combined emoji truncated?
No. Copies retain every code point, including ZWJ, variation selectors, skin-tone modifiers, flags and subdivision tags. Joiners remain even when your system displays separate characters.
Can I search both languages?
Both page languages match Chinese and English names and keywords, as well as shortcodes, complete characters and U+ sequences.
Why do devices show different designs?
Emoji are Unicode characters rendered by the system or app. New emoji may appear as boxes or separate characters. Their appearance is not guaranteed to match across social platforms.
Are searches saved or emoji uploaded?
No. Only fixed metadata is loaded from this site. Search and character content is not uploaded. Recent history stores standard emoji identifiers in this browser and can be cleared. The server receives only status, duration, counts and copy actions.
Does browsing count as usage?
Browsing, searching, categories and pagination do not count as uses. Selecting an emoji to prepare a copyable result counts as one item; copy actions belong to that run.
