About this tool

Add subtitle files and choose an output format. Read UTF-8, GB18030, UTF-16 and BOMs, with per-file input encoding. Compare actual outputs, search cues, filter differences and locate compatibility issues. Select local audio or video to seek to a cue and loop it; associated media is never uploaded.

How to use

  1. Add SRT, ASS, VTT or LRC files and choose input encodings when needed.
  2. Choose output format, encoding and style handling; check LRC end-time and precision rules.
  3. Convert, compare cues, preview local media, and download successful results or delete files immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Are all styles retained?

Formats have different styling capabilities. Compatible bold, italic and underline are retained where possible. Unsupported ASS fonts, colors, positioning, animation, drawings, karaoke and WebVTT regions are reported per cue. Preview shows text and timing, not advanced layout or animation.

Can timing precision change?

SRT and VTT use milliseconds. ASS rounds to centiseconds (10 ms). LRC offers 2 or 3 decimal digits. Actual start/end changes appear in the comparison. LRC stores no end times; import infers them from the next distinct start or a fixed duration, with a configured tail for the final cue.

Why choose an encoding?

Automatic mode recognizes BOMs or strict UTF-8 instead of guessing and producing garbled text. Select GB18030 or BOM-less UTF-16 explicitly. WebVTT output uses UTF-8; GB18030 does not support a Unicode BOM.

Are files uploaded or retained?

Conversion uploads subtitles for temporary Python processing. Originals, outputs and reports share task access controls, expire within 24 hours and can be deleted immediately. Associated audio/video plays only in the current browser and is never uploaded.

Are batches and phones supported?

Desktop and mobile are supported. Deployment allows up to 20 files, 5 MB each and 50 MB total; administrators can lower limits. Failed files are listed and can be retried; successful results are downloadable individually or as a ZIP. Text, cue count and local media limits also apply.
