About this tool
Read SRT, ASS, VTT or LRC subtitles locally. Drag selected cues, enter integer milliseconds, and undo or redo changes. Associate local audio or video to seek and loop cues. Confirm to generate and verify the actual output with Python, then compare timing and boundary notes. Media is never uploaded.
How to use
- Add one subtitle file, choose its encoding, and optionally select local media.
- Adjust all or selected cues by dragging or entering milliseconds; check linking, negative-time policy and output encoding.
- Confirm, compare actual timing and notes, then download the original format or delete files immediately.
Frequently asked questions
Should I use a positive or negative offset?
Use a positive delay if subtitles appear early, or a negative advance if they appear late. You can drag instead; Arrow keys adjust 1 ms and Shift + Arrow adjusts 100 ms. Offsets always refer to original timing.
Can bilingual lines move together?
Enable equal-time linking to move cues sharing the same start and end together. LRC links equal starts. Multiline cue text remains one unit so translation lines do not separate.
How are negative times handled?
Block export, clamp starts to zero, or drop cues starting before zero. Clamping can shorten duration; fully negative non-LRC cues are removed. An empty output is rejected and actual changes are reported per cue.
Are the format and styles preserved?
The input format is retained with necessary timestamps rewritten and text and metadata verified. ASS stores 10 ms precision; LRC precision increases if needed. LRC ends are inferred. Advanced styles and attachments stay in the file, while basic preview does not simulate their layout or animation.
Are files uploaded? Does it work on phones?
Use a mouse, keyboard or phone touch. Preview and media stay local; only subtitles upload when you confirm. Originals, output and private reports are deleted within 24 hours or immediately on request. Deployment limits are one 5 MiB file and 50000 cues; administrators may lower them.
